Quarantine has made us all come to perspective with many different aspects of our lives. In just six months thirty million people lost their jobs due to corona and filed for unemployment. As minorities our dollar has an impact in this nation’s market and global market.Many influencers, actresses and celebrities began to stir discussion on buying black again. Minority markets must lean into their capital power, to show that we demand representation in the companies we buy into. It’s time for us to rethink our buying power in terms of whether or not these corporations and brands who thrive off of us, truly care about our overall well being.
